They are consistent
They say momentum is a cruel mistress, success is only acquired by being faithful in performing the right small actions day after day, hour after hour. I remember when I started exercising if I skipped a couple of days it would be harder to get back into it and the exercises themselves would become hard again. A lot of people use the term overnight success to describe a person who is just breaking into the limelight but those who are honest will tell you that there is nothing like that. success is only obtained by small actions done consistently day after day and those who succeed are those who continued to do the work and never gave up.
They have goals
They take the time to plan out what they want to achieve and write them down. I heard someone say once living a life with no goals is like having a car full of fuel with no destination, so you can drive and drive but if you have no end point you just end up wasting fuel and time
They take action
The lotto people say it better than I could ever put it, you have to be in it to win it. People who are successful try new things and most of them fail a lot but the more you fail the more you learn and you become better at whatever it is that you are trying.
Most successful people are continuously learning and to do that they read a lot. When asked what super power he would like to have Bill Gates responded that he would like the ability to read faster. Warren Buffet mentions a lot in his interviews that he reads for hours a day. There is a quote that really sums up my point in a book by Hal Elrond, it’s on Amazon titled The Miracle Morning: The Not-So-Obvious Secret Guaranteed to Transform Your Life (Before 8AM) that says “When you change your inner world, your outer world will change in parallel.”
