Pirates of the Caribbean : Dead men tell no tales

Pirattes of the Carribean, Dead men tell no tales, Jack Sparrow, Johnny DeppI have been a huge fan of Pirates of the Caribbean ever since I watched it for the first time. What really caught my attention to be quite honest was the way that Jonny Depp (Captain Jack Sparrow)
pranced about and his mannerisms. Instead of it being a serious let sword fight and kill each other type of movie he added a lot of humor to it which made the movie very enjoyable if you are not the kind of person who strictly enjoys action movies. I was therefore very excited when they announced that they were shooting another movie to the series, yey right?!

I was really happy that the movie still had some of the characters that I have come to love and enjoy over the years like the obvious one, Jack Sparrow and Captain Barbosa(Geofry Rush), Will Turner among others. It turns out that really is pretty much the good thing about the movie (I will say that I haven’t watched the movie yet but this is what the reviews are saying). From the synopsis we see Captain Sparrow who is in a bad place and his luck seems to be running out when his nemesis Captain Salazar escapes from Devil’s Triangle leading a crew of deadly ghost sailors. To survive Jack seeks after a legendary Trident Poseidon.

According to a review by A. O. Scott, you can read the article here the first problem with the movie is that it is too long (over 2 hours long!), I suppose that this would not be an issue if it was thoroughly entertaining but it turns out that it was not close to that. The performance by Jack apparently seemed quite forced which is tragic because his charming and ridiculous but funny mannerisms in my opinion made the movie very entertaining. But maybe Scott is wrong right, it surely couldn’t be that bad right? Well that’s what I had hoped but this article here also agrees that this movie as they put it is a sinking vessel (Yikes!) I really hope they are wrong though and I still look forward to watching it. If you have already watched it please leave a comment below and let us know how it was. Till next time, cheers!

No matter what the critics say, I think the movie will be entertaining!
